Experience
Christopher has been in practice for over 30 years. He has wide experience in commercial matters and has acted for a wide range of clients from Shipowners, P&I Clubs, Singapore Statutory Boards, banks, public corporations to MNC's. His areas of practice are primarily in maritime, construction and commercial law.
Christopher is one of Singapore's most respected legal practitioners. He has been recognised as a leading individual in the area of dispute resolution in various international publications as well as a leading shipping lawyer in Guide to the World's Leading Shipping & Maritime Lawyers 2004 and AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers 2005. He has also been recognised as a leading individual in the area of construction practice in The International Who's Who of Construction Lawyers 2007.

Professional background
Christopher was educated in Australia and was called to the English Bar in 1972, practising for a number of years as a barrister in London before returning to practise in Singapore in 1975 where he has since been based.
Between 1989 and 1995, he was a partner of Allen & Gledhill, Singapore and was head first of the shipping and then construction department. In April 1995, he was appointed and served, for a term of three years, as a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore. In 1999, he was appointed a Senior Counsel of the Singapore Supreme Court. He was a Senior Partner of Ang & Partners from 1998 to mid-February 2004. He is now a Consultant to the firm of ATMD.
He is a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Law, a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Chartered Arbitrator and a Fellow of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). He is a panel member of various international arbitration panels. He is also a member of the governing board of the IMO International Maritime Law Institute, a member of the board of directors (as an independent non-executive director) of Neptune Orient Lines, Singapore (NOL), chair of its Audit Committee and member of its Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
